So we're at the halfway point in the year and I think it's time to go through my top 5's for the year so far, going through my top 5 films, performances (male and female), scenes and my most anticipated for the rest of the year. Like all of my lists, these will be films that have had a UK release this year so some films released in the US last year will be included.

So those are my lists for halfway through the year. Keep in mind that I haven't seen a lot of films from earlier on in the year, and most of those I had seen were holdovers from last year. That said, I still think this has been a strong year so far and the brilliant looking set of films coming out later this year could make 2014 one of the best years for film in recent memory.
