My Thoughts on the 2014 Oscar Nominations

So it's that time of year again when I give my thoughts on the major awards nominations. This year though, since I don't really have time to cover all of them and seeing how I've already missed the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, I'm just going to cover the Oscars.

Best Film:
Will Win: 12 Years a Slave

So there you have it, my thoughts on this years Oscar nominations. Overall, I'm fairly mixed with these. I'm glad that Gravity and 12 Years a Slave have a lot of nominations but the complete snubbing of Fruitvale Station, along with Paul Greengrass not being nominated for Best Director just doesn't feel right to me. Then again, there will always be Oscar decisions that I don't agree with.
