Quick announcement to make for this feature, I will be changing it so that my predictions only go up halfway through the year and at the end of the year.

One final thing, my thoughts on Seth MacFarlane as host. As long as he doesn't write any of the little jokes, the show could be in good hands. (Sorry but I cannot stand anything I've seen that MacFarlane's written, granted I haven't seen Ted yet and I hope that could prove me wrong)

  1. I think "Life of Pi" should get more nominations.

    1. I agree with you there but I really don't think it will be nominated. Granted I don't know all the buzz about Life of Pi seeing as I live in Britain and my predictions could be wrong regarding Life of Pi.

  2. Hi Tony, this is Shane(Squasher88) from the Film Actually Oscar Contest. I need you to confirm that these are your final predictions for the nominations. Once you send them in, you can't change them. Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    1. And don't forget, Moonrise Kingdom was disqualified for Best Original Score.

    2. I'll just make a quick edit to the Best Original Score category because of the Moonrise Kingdom issue. When you see Moonrise Kingdom gone from that category then those are my final nominations

    3. Hey bud, I'm gonna need you to do another quick edit (Cloud Atlas didn't make the shortlist for Makeup). I don't want to put you at a disadvantage for sending in your predictions early.

    4. The change has been made. Still can't believe that the Academy will not nominate Cloud Atlas for Best Makeup.

    5. I know, it's crazy right?! I'll get back to you if the Foreign Film shortlist in January throws up more shockers too. I want everyone to start out with an equal chance.
